Magazine-cover style graphic reading 4 New Screenshots, Jason and Lucia Up Close, with four polaroid-style screenshot tiles and a cover for LOVE Issue 27

The GTA 6 LOVE Magazine feature is Rockstar’s latest step in a launch campaign that has moved well beyond game sites. The French culture magazine’s Issue 27, due October 5, puts Jason and Lucia on its cover with new Rockstar-made artwork, and it arrives with four new screenshots and an interview with senior Rockstar staff. With 45 days left on our GTA 6 countdown timer, this is the clearest look yet at how the studio thinks about its two leads.

Quick facts: Publication: LOVE Magazine, Issue 27. Preview released: Friday, October 2, 2026. Issue date: October 5. Rockstar voices quoted: Rob Nelson (co-studio head, Rockstar North), Rupert Humphries (SVP of narrative) and writers Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern and Alexa D’Agostino. GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

One note on sourcing before the details. LOVE published a preview of the feature, with screenshots and excerpts, on October 2. This report is built on that preview and on coverage of it by several gaming outlets. We have not read the printed issue, and the full interview may contain more. We will update this article as that material becomes available.

What the LOVE Magazine Preview Shows

LOVE is a Paris-based fashion and culture title, which makes it an unusual home for a Rockstar interview. The issue is built around Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and the preview centers on the pair rather than on action set pieces. Reports describe the interview as covering Rockstar’s approach to building worlds and characters, the research behind Leonida, and what the American Dream means in the game’s version of Florida.

The cover art was created by Rockstar. Reports say the issue exists in six cover variants, with Jason and Lucia on one of them.

The Four New GTA 6 Screenshots

The images arrived days after the 12 shots in our Game Informer cover story coverage. Where those leaned toward weather, wildlife and open-world scale, these are quiet and character-led. According to the outlets that reproduced them, they show:

Some of these may be cutscene frames rather than free-roam gameplay, but neither LOVE nor Rockstar has said so. Treat any claim about exactly where they appear in the game as unconfirmed.

The “Pulp Fiction” comparison

Fans on Reddit were quick to compare the diner scene to the opening of Quentin Tarantino’s film, and some outlets repeated the comparison. That is a viewer’s reading of a still image. Rockstar has not described the scene or said it is a reference to anything.

What Rockstar Said About Jason and Lucia

The most useful material in the preview is the writers’ description of the couple. Reports of the interview paint two people who approach the same situation in different ways.

D’Agostino adds that building a character around specific wants produces someone who is imperfect but believable. That lines up with how Rockstar has presented the duo since its first trailer: as a couple under pressure, not as untouchable criminals.

Leonida as a “Pressure Cooker”

Humphries also talks about the setting. He calls the game’s world “a pressure cooker for all kinds of insanity,” and says Rockstar’s goal is satire that is larger and more grotesque than reality rather than a straight mirror of it. In his telling, that is the point of building a version of today’s world at all.

On the American Dream, he suggests it has become more modest: a home for your family and debts paid off, not wild success. He names Miami and southern Florida as a front line for that struggle, which fits the real-world research Rockstar has described elsewhere, including work reported in our Game Informer breakdown.

Nelson’s contribution is about design philosophy. He says some things need to feel realistic to support immersion, while in other cases realism is dropped because the alternative is more convenient for the player. It is a short statement, but it is a direct answer to a question many fans keep asking about how far the simulation goes.

Why the GTA 6 LOVE Magazine Feature Matters

On its own, a magazine interview does not change the game. What matters is the pattern. Over the past two weeks Rockstar has put material in front of readers of Game Informer, fashion-magazine audiences, NBA viewers, vinyl and collectibles buyers, and Netflix subscribers. Our earlier reports cover several of those steps: the Netflix Extended Look, the Vice City Collection box and the Miami Heat crossover.

The LOVE feature does something different from those. It is the first recent release that is mostly about the two leads, their relationship and tone, rather than systems or merchandise. For anyone wondering what the story will feel like, that is the more relevant signal. It also shows Rockstar choosing outlets outside the usual games press for its character-focused messaging.

What Is Still Unconfirmed

The preview leaves plenty open. It is better to list the gaps than to guess at them:

Nothing in the feature changes the release date, platforms or price. It is character and world context, not a gameplay reveal.

Availability and Price of the Issue

The issue is priced at €25. Gaming outlets reported that the version sold through the distributor KD Presse sold out within minutes of going live. Availability can change, so check LOVE’s channels and local stockists for current stock. If you cannot get a copy, the screenshots and interview excerpts are already public through the magazine’s preview.

What to Watch Next

Rockstar has said it will share more in the weeks before launch. The studio’s own Newswire is the first place official updates appear, and our Rockstar news section tracks each one. If you are still deciding on an edition, our GTA 6 pre-order guide explains the Standard and Ultimate options and what each includes.

The Bottom Line on the GTA 6 LOVE Magazine Feature

The GTA 6 LOVE Magazine feature is a confirmed, dated release with four new screenshots and on-the-record comments from Rockstar’s narrative and development leads. Its value is in tone: a couple written as flawed and driven, a satirical Florida under pressure, and a studio that is comfortable trading realism for playability. It does not reveal new missions or mechanics, and it should not be read as one. Launch remains November 19.
