The first official GTA 6 radio stations are here. On October 8, Rockstar added a music page to its GTA VI website with roughly two-minute previews of six in-game stations, each with its own hosts and three songs. It also confirmed that radio and a new podcast feature will work on foot, not only in cars. With 41 days left on our GTA 6 countdown timer, this is the most detailed look at the game’s music so far.
What Rockstar Confirmed About the GTA 6 Radio Stations
Rockstar describes the lineup as the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio in the series. Fans can hear short previews by choosing a station on the official music page and pressing “Preview Station.” Alongside the stations, Rockstar published three new screenshots.
These six are only a first batch. Rockstar’s announcement points to further genres that have no named stations yet, including classic rock, modern hip-hop, dance, electronic, ’80s music, blues, ballads and talk radio.
The Six Stations at a Glance
Rockstar lists each station with in-game host names. Here is what the official page and Newswire coverage show:
- Flash FM (pop): hosted by Robyn and Alex. This is a returning station from Vice City. Rockstar’s blurb says it is guaranteed to make you dance wherever you find yourself in the Goodtime State.
- Cocoteo FM (modern Latin): hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, covering bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton.
- Back Country Radio (renegade country): hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, with roving reporter Mud Dog Mike filing weather reports from an airboat around Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn.
- AfroBank FM (African music): hosted by Burna and Palmsy, running from 20th-century classics to amapiano and 3-step.
- The Chamber 106.6 (metal): hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, playing metal from the 1980s onward.
- Dirty South Classics (regional rap and hip-hop): hosted by Trick and Trina.
Who is behind the microphones?
Rockstar’s page credits hosts by their in-game names. Several outlets, including Dexerto, KeenGamer and VICE, identify them as Bad Bunny and RaiNao (Cocoteo FM), Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey (Back Country Radio), Burna Boy and Palms Trax (AfroBank FM), Kerry King and Tom Araya (The Chamber), Robyn and Alex Consani (Flash FM), and Trick Daddy and Trina (Dirty South Classics). GTABoom notes that Rockstar has not spelled out who is behind the mics. We treat those names as reported identifications. They fit the hosts’ names, but the official page does not state them. Morgan Wallen, notably, is already confirmed as a GTA 6 artist through the soundtrack album.
Songs Heard in the Preview Clips
Each preview features three tracks. Rockstar’s page does not print a track list, so the titles below come from KeenGamer and VGTimes, and Kotaku independently names three of them. Outlets differ on whether songs were named at all, so check the previews yourself on Rockstar’s site.
- Flash FM: “Good Ones” (Charli xcx), “Electric Feel” (MGMT), “Midnight Sun (Girls Trip)” (Zara Larsson and PinkPantheress)
- Cocoteo FM: “EoO” (Bad Bunny), “Si Es Trucho Es Trucho (Remix)” (Axel Rulay ft. Farruko and El Alfa), “Canalla” (Romeo Santos and El Chaval de la Bachata)
- Back Country Radio: “Need a Little Time Off for Bad Behavior” (David Allan Coe), “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’” (Loretta Lynn), “The Conversation” (Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings)
- AfroBank FM: “Joha” (Asake), “Gye Wani” (Pat Thomas ft. Ebo Taylor), “Shay’sana” (DJ Lag and Robot Boii ft. Kamo Mphela)
- The Chamber 106.6: “I” (Black Sabbath), “I’m Broken” (Pantera), “Raining Blood” (Slayer)
- Dirty South Classics: “Like A Pimp” (David Banner ft. Lil’ Flip), “Who Dat” (JT Money ft. Solé), “Born N Raised” (DJ Khaled ft. Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Pitbull)
These are preview picks, not complete playlists. Rockstar has not said how many songs each station will carry at launch.
Radio and Podcasts on Foot: The Biggest Gameplay Change
The most useful detail for players is not a song. Rockstar says Jason and Lucia can listen to radio on foot for the first time in the series, using in-game headphones or earbuds connected to their smartphones. The game will also add on-demand podcasts, another first, playable in a vehicle or while walking.
That changes how the soundtrack works. Rockstar calls on-foot listening a series first, so radio was previously tied to vehicles. Now a player can keep a station running through a stakeout, a heist approach or a walk along the Leonida coast. Rockstar has not named any podcasts or hosts yet, so how they work in practice remains unknown.
What Is Still Not Announced
- The remaining stations, including the classic rock, electronic, blues, ballad and talk categories.
- Podcast titles, hosts and how many there will be.
- Which tracks from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album will play on the in-game radio. Our GTA 6 soundtrack album report covers the 34-track release.
- The date for the dynamic score reveal. Rockstar says it will share more later.
We are not covering the leaked station and song lists that have circulated this week. This report sticks to what Rockstar published.
Why the GTA 6 Radio Stations Matter
Radio has been a signature feature of the series since the 3D era, and Rockstar has used it to set a time, place and tone. Flash FM ties the new game back to Vice City, while Cocoteo FM and AfroBank FM show how far the genre mix now reaches. Our Game Informer cover story coverage and LOVE Magazine report show the same attention to detail in weather, wildlife and characters. Whether the radio matches that standard is something only launch day will answer.
What to Watch Next
Rockstar’s Newswire is where further music announcements will appear, and our Rockstar news section tracks each one. If you are still weighing your edition, our GTA 6 pre-order guide and the GTA 6 release date guide are kept current. The game launches November 19, 2026, and the Miami Heat’s Vice City night comes the evening before, as covered in our Heat crossover report.
The Bottom Line on the GTA 6 Radio Stations
The GTA 6 radio stations are now officially on display: six stations, named hosts, three-song previews and a first-ever on-foot radio and podcast system. Host identities and the exact track lists rest on outlet reporting rather than Rockstar’s own page, and many stations are still unannounced. What is solid is the format and the launch date: November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
